Latest Security Convergence Research

The Latest Converged Security (CSM) Report is being Published by Incoming Thought in conjunction with The Security Faculty and Unified Security.

The Converged Security Management Survey 2011 is published this week and provides some very useful and interesting data on the types of organisations that are converging and why they are doing so. This survey is the first of its kind to look at data from across North America and Europe, and across several industries.

Enhanced security effectiveness driven by convergence of physical and logical security functions

A recent research survey shows that increasing numbers of organisations are combining their  physical and logical security (sometimes called security convergence), a process that leads to improved efficiencies plus a better return on investment (ROI) in managing risks. The initiative for the survey was triggered by the new interest in the subject which is being promoted by the ASIS International European Security Converged subcommittee led by Alessandro Lega with the support of eleven members from eight different European countries.

Nigel Stanley, Incoming Thought CEO, wins Best Dissertation Prize

At the Royal Holloway annual Smart-Card Security Centre Exhibition, Nigel Stanley's Dissertation on a comparative study of Windows Mobile and Google's Android mobile operating systems won the best project award. During the day Nigel was asked the very simple and obvious question by eveyone, "which operating system is most secure ..."

Mobile Device Security Alliance Launched

Incoming Thought participates in the launch of the Mobile Device Security Alliance at the 1st International Mobile Device Security Conference 23 November 2011. The Mobile Device Security Alliance is being set up to provide guidance on mobile application security for the miriade of devices permiating into our everyday lives.
